Peel the apples and cut into small pieces/cubes.
Cook the apples with the other ingredients (don't use too much water, it's enough if all the apple pieces are under water, and cook until the apples are soft and the water is evaporated). The amount of sugar and lemon juice depends on the sort of the apples and your own preference.
Mash the apples with a blender or potatoe masher (like mashed potatoes).
Applesauce can be eaten hot or cold. You can also fill the hot applesauce in jam jars if you don't want to use it immediately.
